CBD for animals - how it works and what to considerEveryone who has had the pleasure of having a pet in his family knows how important it is to you that your pet is well. Each suffering, which the fur noses must go through, breaks the heart. After all, our pets are dependent on us and can only communicate with us to a limited extent if something hurts them. For this reason, we should think carefully about which remedies are best suited if we want to do something good for our animals. Cannabidiol, for example, is a natural remedy that has no significant side effects and is also well tolerated by animals.
How does the cannabinoid work in the animal bodyAs in humans, the organism of our animals contains an endocannabinoid system. This system, ECS for short, can be detected in all mammals. This system is responsible for certain substances, such as cannabinoids, to act on our organism. The endocannabinoid system is a part of the central nervous system and thus extends over the entire body. Thus, the ECS has different receptors (CB-1 and CB-2 receptors) to which the cannabinoids, such as CBD, dock. Once there, the active substance interacts with the receptors and thus with the central nervous system and regulates certain dysfunctions. For example, researchers have found out that CBD regulates the release of the stress hormone cortisol. Anxiety states, stress or panic attacks can be effectively combated by this process. In animals, this property has a positive effect especially in exceptional situations, such as New Year's Eve. However, the endocannabinoid system can do much more than just reduce stress. Because the entire system is an enormously complex structure, which affects the organs and bones as well as the brain.
